Enterprise Architect, AI Network Infrastructure

We're looking for the network architect who will design and run the core network layer of this environment — the switches, firewalls, routers and border gateways that everything else depends on.

What you'll own

• Design the fabric: You architect a unified high-speed network combining InfiniBand and Ethernet/RoCE, built for the demands of AI and HPC workloads.
  
• Own the core stack: Switches, firewalls, routers, border gateways — you design, provision and manage them, and keep them tuned throughout the project lifecycle.
  
• Automate everything you can: You build and maintain automation for configuration, release and deployment, so lifecycle work (installs, upgrades, firmware, patching) scales without manual firefighting.
  
• Keep it observable: You implement and fine-tune monitoring so issues are caught before they become incidents.
  
• Run it the right way: You follow and improve ITIL processes — incident, problem and change management — and hold the line on Zero Outage standards.
  
• Be the technical anchor: You coordinate across Infrastructure, Platform and AI solution teams, act as the go-to technical lead outside your own team, and are the customer-facing expert for network architecture questions.
  
• Grow the team: You mentor colleagues and help raise the overall skill level around these technologies.

Requirements

Who we'd love to meet

You bring:

• Hands-on experience with InfiniBand architecture and RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) for low-latency, high-throughput AI/HPC networking
  
• Solid understanding of data center routing and border gateway protocols (Cisco or Juniper, BGP/OSPF, ASNs, IP transit, peering, failover)
  
• Strong Linux skills and comfort with firewall & security management
  
• Real experience with switch provisioning, firmware/OS upgrades, patch management and configuration backups
  
• Scripting ability in Python or Bash, and practical use of automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform or Helm)
  
• Comfort working with Git and CI/CD (GitHub/GitLab, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD)
  
• 5+ years designing and delivering IaaS/PaaS/SaaS-based systems
  
• Experience with monitoring and visualization tools like Grafana and Prometheus
  
• English at B2 level

• Understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles
  
• German language skills
